BALLON VOLLEY

Balloon Volley is a new sport from Japan. It is a new team sport for the disabled and the able-bodied. It has been developed in Japan for 30 years. It uses extra-large balloon volleyballs, which are larger, more elastic, more durable and easier to play than ordinary balloons. It is suitable for all ages and genders to participate, and is also suitable for school activities.

Balloon Volley's Court

The venue setting is more flexible and can be held indoors or outdoors, and even in some non-traditional sports venues such as parks or beaches.
The net frame can be made of badminton and a rack.

Balloon volleyball rules Balloon volleyball is a unique sport. Its rules and gameplay are different from traditional volleyball, but it is also full of competition and fun. Here are some basic rules and gameplay of balloon volleyball:

Starting Setup

  • Six balloon volley players per team

  • Use a balloon volley with a vertical line of 40 cm

  • The game lasts 15 minutes per game, with no halves.

Basic Gameplay

  • The "server" is ready to serve and needs to stand in the serving area and can only serve with one hand .

  • The goal is to hit the ball onto the opponent's court.

  • Scoring: Scoring in balloon volley is similar to traditional volleyball, with the serving team scoring when the opposing team fails to receive the ball or the ball goes out of bounds .

  • Serving: After each point, a player from the serving team serves the ball in the designated area. The ball can only be hit after it touches the ground in the serving area .

Receiving the ball: The ball may be passed within the team as many times as necessary before being hit back to the opposing team's court, but may not touch the same player twice in a row .

Winning Conditions
When the time limit ends, the team with the higher score wins.

Fouls

  • Can only touch the ball with forearm and palm

  • Each time the ball is received, all players on the team must receive the ball once.

  • The same person is not allowed to catch the ball consecutively

Out of Bounds

  • If the ball touches the ground, wall or other obstacle outside the playing field, it is considered out of bounds and the opposing team scores.
