Cornhole's Equipment

Game Board: Two 24" x 48" boards with a 6" x 6" pocket at one end.

Cornhole: Each player or team needs 8 cornhole. The corn hole are usually square or rectangular, measuring about 6 inches by 6 inches, and can be filled with corn, beans, or other suitable substances.

Throwing Line: A line is drawn about 12 inches (30.5 cm) in front of each board, behind which players must throw their cornhole.

Scoreboard: A scoreboard is sometimes used to display the score of the game.
Cornhole's Court
A flat open space is required to ensure fairness and safety during the game.

Starting Setup

The game board is usually a 24-inch by 48-inch wooden board, with two boards facing each other 27 feet (about 8.2 meters) apart. There is a 6-inch by 6-inch square scoring area (pocket) at the top of the board.

Basic Gameplay

Throwing: Each player or team has 8 cornhole. At the beginning of the game, each side chooses a side to stand on and throws cornhole to the opposite board.

Scoring: If the cornhole lands on the board and falls off the edge, you get 1 point. If the cornhole goes into a pocket, you get 3 points.

Turns: Players take turns throwing until all cornhole have been thrown.

Round: After all cornhole have been thrown, the score is calculated and the cornhole are returned to the players, and a new round begins on the opposite side.

Special case: If both teams have the same score at the end of the game, a sudden death overtime will be played and the team that scores first will win.

Winning Conditions

The game is usually played to a specified score, such as 21 points, with the first player or team to reach or exceed that score winning.
