It can be played on sand or grass. The standard area requires a 5x8 meter area with a center line drawn in the middle to separate the two areas.
The home-use KUBB set is more suitable for implementation in Hong Kong. The size of the equipment is about 1/3 smaller than the standard one. The area of use is 2x5 meters.

Starting Setup

Place the KING in the middle of the center line, place corner posts at the four corners of the field (only needed for grass fields), and place five guards on each team's bottom line.

The number of players in the two teams can be freely allocated from 1 to 6, and the number of players in the two teams does not need to be the same

Each team sends one person to throw a wooden stick. The team whose stick is closest to the chess piece has the right to throw.

Basic Gameplay

After each team has finished throwing a round, it is the other team's turn to throw. The number of throws with 6 sticks is one round.

The starting team only throws 4 sticks in the first round, and the rest of the rounds are normal.

After the opponent throws a round, the guard knocked down by the opponent needs to be thrown behind the center line, and the attacking team chooses the vertical direction. This guard will become the center line guard of the attacking team. In the next round of throwing, the opponent's center line guard must be knocked down first before attacking the bottom line guard.

Winning Conditions

In the same round of throwing, the team that knocks down all 5 guards of the KUBB (including the center KUBB) and finally knocks down the KING wins.

If the thrower knocks down the KING by mistake before knocking down all the KUBB, the other party wins immediately.

Strategy: One stick can knock down multiple center linemen, so the center linemen should be concentrated.
